Taylor, a 57-year-old White woman from the Watseka area whose residence was reported as Donovan, Illinois, died on May 12, 2025, after an ordinary drive in rural Iroquois County turned into a sudden and devastating act of violence. That evening, near the railroad crossing at 2150 North Road and 2750 East just outside Iroquois, authorities said a truck had been left blocking the tracks.
