Zackery "Turtle" Melton, a 28-year-old White male, was fatally shot on April 2, 2025, at Westminster Dog Park in Venice, California. Known affectionately as "Turtle" due to his quickness, Melton was a familiar figure in the Venice community, often seen with his Husky, Max. He resided in a tent community near the park and was recognized for his protective nature and friendly demeanor.
