She immediately called 911 upon noticing his shallow breathing.

Austin, who had been at a nearby gas station shortly before encountering Warrick, stated that a friend had heard gunshots moments before she arrived. First responders attempted CPR, but Warrick succumbed to his injuries. Austin noted that he had been shot in the chest and stomach.
