On April 11, 2025, Nicholas Gagnon, a 33-year-old Hispanic male, was fatally shot in East Oakland, California. The incident occurred around 12:45 p.m. on the 8100 block of Fontaine Street, just below Interstate 580. Responding officers from the Oakland Police Department discovered Gagnon inside a parked Kia rental vehicle, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Despite immediate life-saving efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene before paramedics arrived.
