On April 11, 2025, Nicholas Gagnon, a 33-year-old Hispanic male, was fatally shot in East Oakland, California. The incident occurred around 12:45 p.m. on the 8100 block of Fontaine Street, just below Interstate 580. Responding officers from the Oakland Police Department discovered Gagnon inside a parked Kia rental vehicle, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
Despite immediate life-saving efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene before paramedics arrived.
Authorities identified Nicholas Gagnon as having listed addresses in Eureka and Vacaville, California. At the time of the shooting, he was alone in the vehicle, and no witnesses have publicly come forward. The Oakland Police Department has not disclosed any information regarding potential suspects or motives. As of now, no arrests have been made in connection with the case. His criminal record also includes arrests for driving under the influence of drugs and alcohol, possession of controlled substances for sale, and probation violations dating back to 2014.
