Shamari Martin Jr., a 14-year-old boy from Oakland, California, tragically lost his life on March 2, 2022. The incident occurred in East Oakland, where Shamari was shot near 98th Avenue and MacArthur Boulevard around 10:15 p.m. His body was later discovered in the East Oakland hills, after being dropped off from a bullet-riddled car near Mountain Boulevard and Keller Avenue.
