Roosevelt Jones, a 33-year-old man, was fatally shot during an attempted robbery in Oakland’s Uptown district on April 19, 2025. Authorities reported that the incident occurred around 12:40 a.m. on the 500 block of 18th Street. Witnesses and surveillance footage helped investigators identify a suspect in the case.
