Logan Patrick Cannon, a 29-year-old white male, was fatally wounded in a shooting incident that unfolded in the 600 block of 32 Road. On March 16, 2025, a firearm was discharged at a residence, and a gunshot found its mark, injuring Cannon. He was rushed to a local hospital for medical attention, but despite the efforts of medical personnel, he ultimately succumbed to his injuries and passed away.
Born on January 1, 1996, in Grand Junction, Logan was a graduate of Fruita Monument High School and later honed his skills at Western Colorado Community College. He developed a deep passion for auto mechanics, a field where he was known for his talent in providing custom services. Friends and family remember him as someone who was often found working on a vehicle, ready to solve the most complex mechanical problems for anyone in need. He was known for his generosity, frequently volunteering his time to help others with their cars. Beyond his mechanical skills, Logan cherished the time he spent with his close friends, loved ones, and his German Shepard, Axel.
In the wake of the shooting, an investigation into the circumstances of Logan Cannon's death was initiated. However, the Mesa County Coroner's Office later concluded that the events surrounding the incident did not meet the necessary criteria for a homicide investigation. As a result of this determination, law enforcement officials did not pursue the case as a criminal matter. Consequently, no suspects were identified or sought, and no arrests have been made in connection with his death. He is survived by his parents, step-parents, siblings, grandparents, and other extended family members.
