In the small town of Fort Deposit, Alabama, a young man's life was tragically cut short in a violent encounter. Frank Crenshaw, a 22-year-old male, was the victim of a fatal shooting on December 30, 2024, during what authorities have described as an attempted carjacking.
The events unfolded at the Edgewood Manor apartment complex where Crenshaw was reportedly confronted by a group of four to six individuals. The group's intention was to forcibly take his vehicle. In an attempt to escape the dangerous situation, Crenshaw tried to drive away. It was at this moment that shots were fired by the assailants, striking and killing him.
In the days following the incident, the Lowndes County Sheriff's Office launched an investigation that quickly led to arrests. Two suspects, identified as Jadarius McFerson and Joseph Williams, were taken into custody. Both men have since been charged with the murder of Frank Crenshaw.
Authorities have indicated that the investigation is ongoing. They anticipate filing additional charges against McFerson and Williams and are actively seeking at least one more individual believed to have been involved in the deadly carjacking.
