Mark Peal, a 10-year-old boy, disappeared on August 26, 1971, while camping with his family at the Agate-Crescent Beach Recreational Area near Port Angeles, Washington. On the day of his disappearance, Mark and his 13-year-old friend, Kevin Conner, left the campsite to explore nearby World War II bunkers. The two boys never returned, sparking a massive search effort.
