Darius Perkins, aged 25, was shot and killed on November 1, 2011, in the Bayview-Hunters Point neighborhood of San Francisco. The shooting occurred during a period of heightened violence in the area. Perkins was found suffering from gunshot wounds near a store on a sidewalk. Despite efforts, he was pronounced dead after being transported to a hospital.
