John Demchik, a 13-year-old boy, tragically lost his life on June 26, 1971, in Inglewood, Los Angeles County, California. His death was the result of a brutal murder committed by Patrick Kearney, a notorious serial killer known as the "Trash Bag Killer." Kearney was convicted of murdering at least 21 young men and boys between 1962 and 1977, though he is suspected of having killed as many as 43 individuals. His crimes made him one of the most prolific serial murderers in California history.
