Sophia Francis Garrity, an 80-year-old widow, tragically lost her life on August 7, 1993, in Spring Hill, Hernando County, Florida. Her death was initially ruled accidental, as it resulted from a fire that engulfed her home. Garrity lived alone, and her residence was located near the home of Edwin Kaprat’s sister.
