Jennie E. Olsen, a 16-year-old white female, was the foster daughter of Belle Gunness, a Norwegian-American woman later revealed to be one of the most prolific serial killers in U.S. history. Jennie lived with Gunness on her farm in La Porte, Indiana, during the early 1900s. In December 1906, Jennie disappeared under suspicious circumstances.
