In the summer of 1973, a heart-wrenching tragedy unfolded in the small town of Johnsonville, South Carolina, with the death of two-year-old Robin Michelle Dempsey. The young Caucasian female's life was cut short on June 28, 1973, when she and her 23-year-old pregnant mother, Doreen Hope Dempsey, were reported missing. The two had been living with a man named Donald Henry 'Pee Wee' Gaskins at Ropers Crossroad.
