Gustavo Herrera, a 26-year-old male, tragically lost his life on April 8, 1983, in Lake County, Illinois. His body was discovered by construction workers near the Wisconsin border. Herrera, who lived in Chicago's Uptown district and was a father of two, fell victim to a serial killer known as Larry Eyler. Eyler, infamously dubbed the 'Highway Killer,' targeted young men across the Midwest during the 1980s.
