Ervin Dwayne Gibson, a 16-year-old male, tragically lost his life on January 24, 1983. He was abducted and later murdered in Lake County, Illinois. His remains were discovered on April 15, 1983, in a remote area outside Lake Forest, Illinois. The circumstances surrounding his death were harrowing, as his body was found discarded atop the remains of a dog that had also been stabbed to death. This grim discovery highlighted the brutality of the crime.
