On February 2, 1993, Cheryl Lewis, a 30-year-old African-American woman from Bridge City, Louisiana, was reported missing by her mother, Lillian Lewis. Cheryl Lewis, a mother of four, had a history of arrests related to prostitution and drug use . Witnesses reported seeing her enter a vehicle driven by an unidentified white male on the day she disappeared .
