Bud Griffith, a 48-year-old man, was tragically killed in April or May of 1992 in a homeless camp located in a rail yard near Pueblo, Colorado. His death was the result of a brutal attack carried out by Andrew David Edwards, a transient who had previously committed multiple murders across different states. Edwards and Griffith had been drinking together when Edwards, in a violent outburst, beat Griffith to death using a piece of 2x4 wood and a wine bottle.
