Mark A. Smith, aged 37, was shot and killed on April 5, 2008, in Kansas City, Missouri. The incident took place in an area known for its occasional spikes in violent crime, and unfortunately, Smith's death remains one of the many unsolved homicides in the city. The Kansas City Police Department responded to reports of gunfire, finding Smith with multiple gunshot wounds.
