Shirley Lynette Ledford, a 16-year-old Caucasian female, met a tragic end on October 31, 1979. She was abducted, assaulted, and murdered by Lawrence Bittaker and Roy Norris, infamously known as the 'Tool Box Killers.' On Halloween night, Shirley was hitchhiking home from her job as a waitress when she was picked up by Bittaker and Norris in their van, which they referred to as 'Murder Mac.'
