On August 3, 2008, 76-year-old Hortense Ida Walker was found dead in St. Louis, Missouri, after being shot. Officers responded to a call in the early hours of the day and discovered Walker with multiple gunshot wounds. The incident occurred in a residential area, and the initial investigation revealed no apparent motive for the attack.
