Constable Thomas D. Conger, age 40, was a male officer of Midlothian, Texas, who tragically died on June 6, 1908. He succumbed to gunshot wounds six weeks after being shot while attempting to serve a bond forfeiture warrant. During the arrest attempt, the suspect managed to gain control of Constable Conger's service weapon and shot him several times before fleeing the scene.
