Constable Thomas D. Conger, age 40, was a male officer of Midlothian, Texas, who tragically died on June 6, 1908. He succumbed to gunshot wounds six weeks after being shot while attempting to serve a bond forfeiture warrant. During the arrest attempt, the suspect managed to gain control of Constable Conger's service weapon and shot him several times before fleeing the scene. Unfortunately, the suspect was never apprehended.
