Betty Jo Booker, a 15-year-old girl from Texarkana, Texas, was tragically murdered on April 14, 1946. She was a talented saxophone player and a straight-A student. Betty Jo and her friend, Paul Martin, were shot to death by the serial killer known as the Texarkana Phantom Killer. Their bodies were found in Spring Lake Park, with Betty Jo's body discovered some distance away from their car.
