Patricia Leann Webb, a 25-year-old woman from Taylor County, Texas, tragically lost her life on May 17, 1986. She was raped, severely beaten, strangled, and shot in the head with a .22 caliber pistol by William Joseph Kitchens, whom she had met at an Abilene bar on the day of her death. Kitchens then stole Webb’s car, along with her money, credit cards, and checkbook. He was arrested the following day in Blanchard, Oklahoma, in possession of Webb’s property.
