On April 3, 1995, Derek Harrison, a 35-year-old man from Corpus Christi, Texas, tragically lost his life in a mass shooting at the Walter Rossler Co., a refinery inspection firm. The incident occurred when James Simpson, a former employee of the company, walked into the office and methodically shot five people, including Harrison, before taking his own life. The other victims were Walter Rossler , his wife Joann Rossler , Wendy Gilmore , and Richard Tomlinson .
