Pansy Lucille Stewart, a 74-year-old woman of Caucasian ethnicity, tragically died on August 15, 1995, in Conroe, Texas. She was married to John Marshall Stewart Sr., who was 78 years old at the time. The couple had resided in the 1100 block of Foster Drive in Conroe for many years. On August 22, 1995, a family member went to check on them and discovered their bodies in their ransacked home.
The investigation revealed that both John and Pansy Stewart had been shot multiple times. The home had been thoroughly ransacked, and several valuable items were stolen, including a two-tone gold Rolex watch, assorted women's jewelry, a 40-caliber handgun, a Remington model 742 semi-automatic rifle, a C.V.A. 31-caliber black powder handgun, and a man's white metal ring with a Mobil Oil emblem. Detectives believe the couple was killed approximately a week before their bodies were discovered.
Despite extensive investigations, the case remains unsolved to this day. The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office has continued to seek new leads, even launching a "Cold Case Warm Up" initiative featuring digital billboards to generate public interest and gather information. The family has expressed their desire for justice and closure, hoping that someone will come forward with information that can help solve the case.
