Captain George Scott Monier, aged 37, was a dedicated officer with the White Settlement Police Department in Texas. On April 24, 2002, he responded to a domestic disturbance call at 9009 Farmers Road. As he entered the rear of the house, the suspect opened fire, striking him in the abdomen and chest. Despite his injuries, Captain Monier managed to return fire, hitting the suspect seven times. He was able to make it to the front yard before collapsing.
