Dale David Geddie, a 45-year-old male of Caucasian ethnicity, was a respected constable with the Smith County Constable's Office - Precinct 4 in Texas. On June 7, 2006, while responding to a domestic disturbance call outside of Tyler, Texas, Constable Geddie was fatally shot. The incident occurred when the suspect opened fire on both Constable Geddie and a deputy from the Smith County Sheriff's Department with a rifle.
