Shane Thomas Detwiler, a 31-year-old Caucasian male, was a dedicated Chambers County Deputy Sheriff and former Texas Game Warden. He was born on July 31, 1977, in Salem, Ohio, and tragically died in the line of duty on July 13, 2009, in Chambers, Texas. Shane was a decorated military veteran who served in the U.S. Army during Operation Iraqi Freedom and was awarded a Bronze Star for his bravery.
