The police investigation revealed that the shooting was premeditated, as Azizolah Yazdanpanah brought two handguns into the apartment and fired multiple rounds. The victims included Ali Yazdanpanah, his mother Fatemah Rahmati, his sister Nona Yazdanpanah, his aunt Zohreh Rahmati, his uncle Mohamad Hossein Zarei, and his cousin Sahra Fatemah Zarei.
No arrests were made in connection with the deaths, as the shooter died at the scene. The case did not lead to any further litigation or investigations, as it was determined to be a murder-suicide. The tragic event left the community in shock and mourning, with friends and family members describing the victims as generous and loving individuals.
