Mario Resean Williams, aged 29, was found shot to death on November 17, 2009, in the Jeff-Vander-Lou neighborhood of North St. Louis. Authorities responded to the scene around 9:30 p.m., where Williams was discovered with multiple gunshot wounds. The neighborhood where Williams was killed is known for experiencing frequent incidents of violent crime, and his case added to the troubling homicide count of the year.
