On June 19, 2014, a tragic incident occurred in Carrizo Springs, Texas, when 14-year-old Andrew Andy Briseno Jr. was murdered along with his 13-year-old sister, Andira Briseno, by their father, Andy Briseno. The father then set their mobile home on fire and took his own life. The community was deeply shocked by the tragedy, as the Briseno family was well-known in Carrizo Springs.
