Dominique Brooks, a 24-year-old woman from Nacogdoches, Texas, tragically lost her life on December 5, 2014. Brooks was fatally shot in the chest while on the porch of a residence on Railroad Street in Nacogdoches. The incident occurred in the afternoon, and several other people were present on the porch at the time. Brooks was not involved in the altercation that led to her death.
