The incident occurred just after 6 a.m. in the 4100 block of Panay Drive. Chester was confronted by a gunman at his front door while his girlfriend and their three children were in the driveway. The gunman, wearing a hoodie and a mask, engaged in a confrontation with Chester before opening fire.
Chester was shot and fell in the doorway, while his girlfriend managed to escape with their children unharmed. The gunmen continued to shoot as the family fled the scene.
