Marc Anthony Fuentes, an 18-year-old male from Beeville, Texas, tragically passed away on September 22, 2015. He was born on May 6, 1997, and was known for his love of football and basketball. Marc was a self-employed landscaper and a Christian. He is survived by his parents, Leonard Gonzales and Angelica Fuentes, as well as numerous siblings, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
On the day of his death, Marc Anthony Fuentes was one of three victims in a fatal shooting incident that
occurred in Beeville, Texas. The other victims were 33-year-old Barry Garcia and 45-year-old Rosalinda Posada. The shooting took place in a home on Charco Road, where officers found Marc and Barry Garcia dead at the scene. Rosalinda Posada, who sustained a gunshot wound, was taken to Christus Spohn Hospital Beeville, where she later died.
The investigation into the triple homicide led to the arrest of two suspects, Felix Lee Perez and Presciliano "Pres" Martinez. Felix Lee Perez, a 23-year-old male, was arrested on suspicion of capital murder and was taken into custody by the Bee County Sheriff's Office and the Gulf Coast Violent Offenders Task Force. He was held in Bee County Jail with bail set at $3.75 million. Presciliano Martinez, a 36-year-old male, was also arrested on suspicion of capital murder and was held without bail due to a parole violation.
During the trial, Presciliano Martinez was acquitted by a Bee County jury, making him the first of the three suspects to go to trial for the 2015 shooting deaths of Marc Fuentes, Barry Garcia, and Rosalinda Posada. The other two suspects, Felix Lee Perez and Jesse Munoz, faced capital murder charges. The motive for the shooting was not disclosed by the authorities.
