On February 28, 2016, in San Antonio, Texas, 45-year-old John Salazar, a Hispanic male, was fatally shot during an incident with his roommate, 29-year-old Eric Gildelamadrid. The two were reportedly engaged in a discussion about the comparative speed of a gun versus a knife at their apartment located in the 9500 block of Perrin Beitel near Sun Gate Drive.
