Maria Azucena Aguilar-Gomez, a 32-year-old Hispanic woman, was found dead on August 8, 2016, in the front yard of a home in Merit, Texas. The Hunt County Sheriff's Office responded to the scene and discovered her body alongside that of 36-year-old Oscar Manuel Aguilar-Flores. The authorities quickly determined that the incident was a murder-suicide, with Oscar Manuel Aguilar-Flores being the perpetrator.
