Zachary Simmons, a 50-year-old, was fatally shot on June 20, 2011, in St. Louis, Missouri, in the Baden neighborhood. The shooting occurred during a particularly violent period for St. Louis, where the homicide rate remained high. Simmons was discovered with multiple gunshot wounds in the 8600 block of Church Road. Despite the prompt response of law enforcement and medical services, Simmons succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
