Rodney R. Curtis, a 29-year-old man, was fatally shot on June 25, 2011, during a violent incident that occurred at a neighborhood block party in Kansas City, Missouri. The block party took place at 27th and Askew Avenue, where four people were shot in total. Curtis was rushed to the hospital, but unfortunately succumbed to his injuries shortly thereafter.
