Elva Gonzalez, a 41-year-old woman of Hispanic ethnicity, tragically lost her life on October 30, 2016, in Baytown, Texas. She was fatally shot by her estranged husband, El Rey Gonzalez, in the front yard of her home while her two children, aged 16 and 21, were inside the residence. The couple had been separated for several months prior to the incident, and Elva had expressed concerns about her husband's threatening behavior.
