Gwynevere River Song, a 26-year-old transfeminine person who identified as femandrogyne and used "they" pronouns, was fatally shot in their home in Waxahachie, Texas, on August 12, 2017. The incident occurred following an argument that escalated into violence. When police arrived at the scene, they found Song's body and an injured adult male, whose name has not been released. The Ellis County Sheriff's Office responded to the report of the shooting and continues to investigate the case.
