Evan Anderson, a 19-year-old male from Brownfield, Texas, tragically lost his life on June 5, 2018, due to a gunshot wound. He was found unresponsive in a neighborhood in Brownfield after shots were heard in the area. The incident occurred in the 500 block of East 2nd Street. Evan was pronounced dead at the scene, while another 19-year-old man, Jim Mojica, was also shot and injured but survived.
The investigation into Evan's death led to the arrest of two men, Meshach Hall and Jim Mojica.
