On August 4, 2018, Jeremiah Hernandez, a 16-year-old male of Hispanic ethnicity from Victoria, Texas, was tragically shot and killed. His body was discovered in a field later that evening. The incident occurred earlier that day when officers responded to a disturbance call at an apartment complex. Witnesses reported that a juvenile had shot Jeremiah in a truck and then fled the scene with the victim.
