Upon arrival, they discovered Quinten Nelson, a 42-year-old Black male, who had been fatally shot during an altercation in the store's parking lot. Mr. Nelson was pronounced dead at the scene.
Witnesses reported that the confrontation escalated into violence, culminating in the suspect drawing a firearm and shooting Mr. Nelson. Following the shooting, the suspect fled the scene in a white SUV. The identity of the suspect remained unknown, and no arrests were immediately made in connection with the homicide.
