On December 9, 2018, 43-year-old Manuel Brown was fatally shot at Club New Start on Miller Avenue in Fort Worth, Texas. Brown, who was African American, was shot in the chest around 12:30 a.m. and later died from his injuries at John Peter Smith Hospital.
