Jeremy Smith, a 47-year-old man from Spurger, Texas, was tragically shot and killed on July 21, 2019. The incident occurred off County Road 4375 near Spurger, where Smith was found with a gunshot wound to his chest. Witnesses at the scene identified Wilmer Taylor, an 83-year-old neighbor, as the suspect. According to reports, the two had been involved in an ongoing property dispute that had escalated over time.
