Death by Force

William Leon Smith, a 43-year-old Black male, was found dead on December 8, 2019, in DeSoto, Texas. The incident occurred at an apartment complex on West Wintergreen Road, where DeSoto police responded to a call reporting a home invasion. Upon arrival, authorities discovered two men dead at the scene, including William Leon Smith and 21-year-old David Daniel Young Jr., also a Black male. Three other men were injured and taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
