On August 31, 2014, 25-year-old Mario Purantez Washington was fatally shot in St. Louis, Missouri. The incident occurred late at night, and law enforcement responded to reports of a shooting in the area. When officers arrived at the scene, they found Mario suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, and despite efforts by emergency personnel, he was pronounced dead shortly after their arrival.
