Christian Retiz, a 20-year-old male from San Antonio, Texas, was tragically shot and killed on April 12, 2020. The incident occurred in the early hours of Easter Sunday in the 11200 block of Dublin Woods. According to reports, deputies from the Bexar County Sheriff's Office responded to a call about possible gunfire around 3:15 a.m. Upon arrival, they found Christian Retiz and a juvenile with gunshot wounds.
Retiz had sustained multiple gunshot wounds to his upper torso and was pronounced dead at the scene despite emergency responders' efforts to save him. The juvenile, who was also shot, was reported to be in stable condition.
The investigation revealed that the shooting was related to a THC oil deal gone wrong. Angel Koenigstein, a 19-year-old male, was arrested and accused of shooting both Christian Retiz and the juvenile. Koenigstein allegedly met with Retiz and the juvenile to buy THC oil, but an argument ensued during the transaction, leading to the shooting. Koenigstein was charged with capital murder and two counts of aggravated assault.
