On May 27, 2020, 14-year-old Dorothy Brown was tragically shot in the head at an apartment complex in Arlington, Texas. She was flown to a local hospital but succumbed to her injuries the following day. The incident occurred during an argument with her 18-year-old boyfriend, Javien Brown, who was later arrested and charged with murder. Witnesses reported that Javien responded callously when told he had shot Dorothy, saying, "I don't care".
